Description
As I develop etchings for my Japanese Garden series, certain ideas begin to emerge. I found all elements of the work to create harmony. I want to express that idea and the ways the trees work as a unit, or better expressed as a family.
To make an etching print you cover the plate with ink then remove the surface ink leaving the ink in the etched area; i.e. intaglio process. This allows the artist to create detail lines, various textures and a look of age to the resulting print. This print is one of currently series of prints of the Japan Garden aesthetics with the hope of inspiring those that have seen it as well and encourage other to see in in person.
