This painting was painted on location (plienair) at Back Bay in Newport beach. As a member of the Socal Papa group I will do a few paintings for our annual show. This one of two classic views of the Back Bay available for sell.
My oil paintings are made from professional grade oil paints. I allow the brilliance of the colors to enhance the view and emotion of the work. The goal is to fully express the Southern California light and the feeling of the day in which it was painted.
