In this new pastel piece, is a derivative of a pleinair paintings I did alongside a dear friend in Laguna Beach. I continued to explore the realm of nocturnal scenes in this drawing. What resonates with me is the vitality that emanates from the soft pastel, capturing the luminosity of light and my own introspective journey of grief. Through its freshness, this artwork encapsulates both the external ambiance and my deeply personal emotions.
I make my pastel drawings are from professional grade pastels on archival paper.
