Description
This painting was done at Dusk. I had to wait for the sun to go behind the mountains to finish it, so it has both the colors of dusk and night glow. A side note is that this area used to be a recreation area, but wisely the city of Newport allowed it to go back to a more natural state.
I make my oil paintings are from professional grade oil paints. I allow the brilliance of the colors to enhance the view and emotion of the work. The goal is to express the Southern California light and the feeling of the day in which I painted it.
