Description
This painting was painted on location (plienair) off the Ortega Highway near San Juan Capistrano. Every year Socalpapa has a “Toll Road Paint Out Day” of Upper Chiquita Canyon Conservation Area. The event is hosted by the Transportation Corridor Agencies. TCA has been committed to balancing construction and operation
of Orange County’s Toll Roads (State Routes 73, 133, 241 and 261) with the preservation of more than 2,100 acres of open space and wildlife habitat in Orange County. My oil paintings are made from professional grade oil paints. I allow the brilliance of the colors to enhance the view and emotion of the work. The goal is to fully express the Southern California light and the feeling of the day in which it was painted.
